Description
Moorfield Farmhouse and Moorfield Farm Cottage, along with an attached barn, are two cottages from the mid-18th century, with a barn added in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed from thin coursed hammer dressed stone, featuring ashlar quoins and a stone slate roof. They are two storeys high and have three bays with thin flat faced mullioned windows, consisting of four lights on the ground floor and three lights and two lights on the first floor. The doorways have monolithic jambs on either side of the second bay. The barn projects forward and includes quoins, a segmental arched cart entry, and a mistal doorway at the right end. The house has three well dressed ashlar stacks along its ridge.
