Description
Upper Marsh Farmhouse and the attached barn are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and have a stone slate roof. Each of the two-storey cottages features one bay with a doorway that has monolithic jambs, and a three-light flat-faced mullioned window above, although all the mullions have been removed. The cottages have coped gables with finely modeled kneelers and a central stack on the ridge. The barn is linked to the cottages and includes an elliptical arched cart entry with a lunette above. On either side of the barn's entry are doorways with monolithic jambs and a square window. There is also a circular pitching hole located above the right-hand doorway.
