Description
Leyfield Farmhouse is a house and barn built in 1826, as indicated by the datestone. The structure is made of hammer-dressed stone and features a pitched stone slate roof. It stands two storeys tall.
On the east elevation, the ground floor includes an entrance with a stone surround, a 5-light stone mullioned window (with two mullions removed), and a later single light window. The first floor has two 4-light stone mullioned windows, each with two mullions removed. The datestone reading "TF 1826" is located between the upper floor windows.
The barn has an entrance with a stone surround. On the west elevation, the ground floor features a central doorway with a stone surround (which is a later addition), a 5-light stone mullioned window (with two mullions removed), and a 4-light stone mullioned window (with one mullion removed). The first floor of the barn has two single light windows. There is also a recent addition to the barn.
