Description

This is a house and barn combined, built in 1826 as evidenced by the datestone. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof and a coped gable. It features two ashlar chimneys. The south-east elevation has a near-central doorway on the ground floor, accompanied by a three-light and a two-light stone mullioned window. The first floor features three three-light stone mullioned windows. The datestone is inscribed "JC 1826." The barn section has a large central doorway with a stilted elliptical arch, and later incorporates three slender lights. On the north-west elevation, the ground floor shows an entrance and a two-light window where the mullion has been removed. The first floor has a six-light window, with two lights blocked and a loading door, which is also partially blocked.
