Description

This is a small, detached mill building dating from the mid-19th century, located on Woodhead Road. Constructed of hammer-dressed stone, it has a stone slate roof with gable copings and modillion brackets along a string course that runs to the gutter. The building is two storeys high with an attic. The front gable features a Venetian window in the apex, and a large three-light window on the first floor, accompanied by a double doorway to the right, accessed by a single flight of stone steps. The ground floor has three single-light windows. The side elevations have eight bays. The south elevation shows a possible former ten-light window with a continuous sill, and four blocked lights to the first floor. A bridge link is attached to the north side. Most windows feature glazing bars.
