Description
White Syke is an early 19th-century building comprising two houses and a barn. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with some parts rendered. The roof is covered in stone slate. The south elevation has, on the ground floor, two doorways with stone surrounds, a two-light stone mullioned window, and a single-light window with a stone surround. The first floor features a six-light stone mullioned window and a three-light stone mullioned window. The barn has a large central doorway and a smaller doorway. There are two round pitch holes at a high level. A single-storey, pitched-roof extension is visible on the east elevation, alongside two later casement windows inserted at first-floor level.
