Description

23 Gate Head is a late 18th-century end terrace house that has seen recent additions and alterations. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features quoins, with a pitched stone slate roof supported by stone brackets. The building has two storeys and a dormer.

On the southeast elevation, the ground floor includes an entrance with a deep lintel and quoins, alongside a four-light stone mullioned window with a double lintel. The first floor has a five-light stone mullioned window, and the attic features a modern dormer window. To the northeast, there is a later two-storey extension that steps back and includes later openings. The northwest elevation has recent openings on both floors, with two windows that also have quoins. This building is included for its group value.
