Description
Number 1 Throstle Nest is a late 18th century terrace house with a mid to late 19th century extension. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features quoins and a pitched stone slate roof with stone brackets. The building has four storeys, with two to three storeys at the rear. On the southeast elevation, there is a recessed three-light stone mullioned window on all four floors. The northwest elevation includes single-light windows with surrounds on the ground and first floors. The extension on the southeast and southwest elevations has two storeys and a basement, featuring one doorway with stone surrounds and single-light openings that also have stone surrounds and pronounced sills.
