Description
Heycroft Farm is a building dating from the 17th century, comprising two houses in one range, with the southwest part currently in agricultural use. The structure features coursed rubble and quoins, topped with a stone slate roof that has gable copings, which turn onto carved footstones at the northwest. A notable ashlar stack with moulded string courses is present.
The northeast part has a southeast elevation with three bays, including a later central doorway. To the right, there is a five-light chamfered stone-mullioned window, though the outer two mullions have been removed. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a two-light window and a five-light double chamfered and recessed stone-mullioned window, the latter with two mullions removed and an altered sill. On the first floor to the left, there are a two-light and a four-light chamfered stone-mullioned window, with various mullions removed.
The northwest elevation features two gabled wings. The left wing is a single bay with one three-light stone-mullioned window on each floor. The right wing has two bays with double chamfered and recessed stone-mullioned windows: a four-light window on the right (with two outer mullions removed) and a two-light window on the ground floor, along with a three-light window on the first floor to the left. There is also a single-storey lean-to extension to the right, which includes an entrance with quoins and a drop lintel, along with a small chamfered single light above.
On the southwest part, the southeast elevation features a ground floor with a six-light double chamfered and recessed stone-mullioned window that has three mullions removed, and an altered four-light window to the left. A later doorway is located to the right, with a small chamfered light above. The first floor has one three-light and one five-light stone-mullioned window, with various mullions removed.
