Description
Far Works Hill is a late 18th century to early 19th century building consisting of two houses that are part of a farm terrace. The structure is made of hammer dressed stone and features a pitched stone slate roof. It stands two storeys tall.
On the southeast elevation, the cottage to the southwest has a modern window on the ground floor and a prominent 5-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. The cottage to the northeast has an entrance with a stone surround on the ground floor, along with a recessed 6-light stone mullioned window that includes a king mullion. On the first floor, there are two 3-light stone mullioned windows.
The northwest elevation shows that the ground floor is back to earth, while the first floor has a blocked entrance and a mid-19th century 2-light chamfered stone mullioned window. A barn located to the northeast is not included in this listing.
