Description

Stone Fold Farmhouse and Barn is a building dated 1832 for the farmhouse and 1852 for the barn. The farmhouse and barn are in one range, constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with some parts rendered, and feature a pitched stone slate roof. The structure includes moulded footstones and two ashlar stacks.

The south elevation has two storeys. On the ground floor, there is one recessed 6-light stone mullioned window with a central king mullion, and one recessed 3-light stone mullioned window. The first floor features a 13-light stone mullioned window, although several lights are blocked and one mullion has been removed. To the west, there is a single-storey lean-to extension and a two-storey lean-to extension with a catslide roof.

On the east gable, there is a ground floor lean-to extension. The footstone at the south-east corner of the farmhouse indicates the date 1832, while the footstone at the south-west corner of the barn shows the date 1852.
