Description
Old Bank End Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century, constructed from hammer-dressed stone with large dressed quoins and a stone slate roof. The building is designed in an L-shape with a through passage and has two storeys. The front features a two-bay gabled design, with the right-hand bay projecting. All the windows are double chamfered mullioned types with hoodmoulds that have straight returns, although one window in the left-hand gable does not have a hoodmould. The right-hand bay includes a 5-light window with a 4-light window above it, while the left-hand bay has a 4-light window with a 3-light window above. The left bay retains deep kneelers, although the stonework has been significantly disturbed. On the side of the house, there is a 2-light double chamfered mullioned window. At the rear, there is an 18th-century 4-light chamfered mullioned window along with three 20th-century gables that are in keeping with the overall style.
