Description
This is a single-aisled barn dating from the mid-17th century, constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The east front, which faces the house, features a mistal door with a quoined lintel and stop-chamfered jambs. There is an altered square-headed cart entry. At the northern end, there is a single-cell cottage with monolithic jambs and a chamfered surround, retaining a door with decorative iron strap hinges. The cottage also has a chamfered mullioned window with five lights, although it lacks a mullion. The right-hand return wall includes quoins and a moulded kneeler, with a two-light chamfered mullioned window on the ground floor and two similar windows on the first floor, all lacking mullions. The rear features two two-light chamfered mullioned windows. The aisle of the barn projects forward, has a quoined angle, and includes a cart entry with a square lintel. Inside the barn, there is a timber arcade.
