Laithe house, early C18. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof, 2-cell house with attached barn under one roof. 2 storeys. Large quoins, coped gables with kneelers. All are double chamfered mullioned windows of 4 lights with same over, and 6 lights (lacking a mullion), with same over. Set between ground floor windows is wide gabled porch with quoins and doorway in eastern side with tie-stones. Barn has stilted arched cart entry and mistal doorway with chamfered surround. Right hand return wall is gable to barn which has rectangular chamfered ventilators. Barn interior has one large pointed stone arch with corbelled impost. 2 stacks to ridge. Is similar to Scout off Cross Lee Road (q.v.).
