Description
Mount Pleasant is a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century. They feature watershot masonry and a stone slate roof, with quoins at the corners. The cottages are two storeys high and arranged in a double pile layout. Each cottage has a north-facing front with four-light flat-faced mullioned windows on both floors, along with a doorway that has a two-light flat-faced mullioned window above it. The left-hand return wall includes a blocked attic doorway with tie-stones and remnants of former stone steps, as well as two stacks. The right-hand return wall has two two-light flat-faced mullioned windows, with similar windows above for the attic, and two stacks on this gable as well. The south front features wider two-light flat-faced mullioned windows, originally sashed, on each floor, along with doorways that have a single light above.
