Description
8 Radcliffe Road is a building dating from the 17th or 18th century that has been altered and is part of a row of similar structures. It is constructed from thinly coursed, hammer-dressed stone with quoins and features a pitched stone slate roof. The building has two storeys.
On the south elevation, the ground floor includes an entrance with stone surrounds and continuous drip mouldings above the doorway and window. There is a former five-light stone mullioned window, although all the mullions have been removed; the surrounds are chamfered with tie-stones, and there is a recent centre mullion. The first floor features one eight-light stone mullioned window, four of which have semicircular arched heads with a decorative rounded motif in the spandrels. The surrounds of this window are also chamfered, and four of the lights are of a later date.
