Description
1 Bank Nook is a building from the 18th century, with significant alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features quoins and a pitched stone slate roof. The building has two to three storeys due to the sloping site.
On the southwest elevation, the ground floor has a blocked door with a large lintel. The first floor includes one two-light stone mullioned window, with the lights blocked, and another two-light stone mullioned window. The second floor has two three-light stone mullioned windows, one of which is blocked.
The northeast elevation has a ground floor with one two-light stone mullioned window, and the first floor features one window with a stone surround. The second floor contains one three-light stone mullioned window, from which one mullion has been removed, and another window with a stone surround.
On the northwest gable, there is a landing window with a semicircular head that is blocked. The southeast gable has a ground floor door with chamfered reveals and one window in a stone surround. The first and second floors each have two two-light stone mullioned windows. Additionally, there is a lean-to on the west side that includes a half-round window with a keystone and ornamental sill.
