Description

Nos 104 and 106 Lower Wellhouse Road are an early to mid-18th century pair of terraced houses, part of a larger group. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone, featuring quoins on the north side. The roof is covered with stone slates and has a coped gable to the west, with stone brackets supporting the gutter. A central chimney stack is present. The houses are three storeys high.

The south elevation features two entrances with stone surrounds, and two three-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor (one of which has had a mullion removed). The first floor has four two-light stone mullioned windows (one with a removed mullion). The west gable displays a single-light window on the first floor and a Venetian window on the second floor. The north elevation, which faces the earth bank, has an entrance with a stone surround and an adjoining single light with a large wooden lintel (possibly indicating a former larger opening) on the ground floor. Above this is three two-light stone mullioned windows. All windows have pronounced sills.
