Description

A group of three late 18th-century houses and a barn, situated in one range. The buildings are constructed of coursed rubble, with some parts rendered, and quoins. They have pitched stone slate roofs, with one coped gable to the barn. The west elevation of the houses features a mix of 4-light stone mullioned windows, some with mullions removed, and single-light windows, some later additions. Number 1, which slightly breaks back from the other two houses, has a 5-light mullioned window on the ground floor; the first floor has a 9-light mullioned window, with three lights blocked. The barn has a large central doorway with a lintel and quoins. A lean-to extension with an asbestos roof projects to the south. The north gable of the barn includes a blocked single light with a false arch head, a later single light, and a single blocked opening in the apex. A 2-light stone mullioned window, with the mullion removed, is also present on the first floor of the north gable.
