Description
No. 25 Holme Lane is a house with an attached outbuilding, which is now part of the house. It dates from around 1800 but has earlier origins. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone, with thinly-coursed stone up to the first floor, and features a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and has two bays, with a single-storey, one-bay former outbuilding to the left.
The front has a 20th-century door set in a plain stone surround, with a tiestone on the left jamb, next to a three-light flat-faced mullion window. Above, there are two similar two-light windows. The left gable has a shaped kneeler, and there is a tabled stack at the right end. The outbuilding features a 20th-century door with a stone lintel to the right of a former two-light chamfered mullion window, from which the mullion has been removed. This building is included for its group value only.
