Description

Follingworth is a terrace of cottages dating from the late 18th century, constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins and some rebuilding. The cottages feature large plinth stones and have a pitched stone slate roof, standing two storeys high.

On the south elevation, No 2 has a ground floor with a six-light stone mullioned window and an eight-light stone mullioned window on the first floor, although two lights are blocked. No 3 has a ground floor with a six-light stone mullioned window, but one mullion has been removed. The first floor has two three-light stone mullioned windows. No 3A has an obscured ground floor and one three-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. No 4 features a ground floor with a four-light stone mullioned window, from which two mullions have been removed, and another three-light stone mullioned window with one mullion removed. The first floor has two three-light stone mullioned windows.

On the north elevation, No 2 has a ground floor entrance with stone surrounds and a two-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. No 3 also has a ground floor entrance with a stone surround, a single light window (possibly a former two-light window that is part blocked), and two two-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor. No 3A features a ground floor entrance with a stone surround and a small single light window (blocked), along with one two-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. No 4 has a ground floor entrance with a stone surround and a two-light stone mullioned window on the first floor.
