Description

This cottage, dating from around 1820, is located on Smithwell Lane in Heptonstall. It is built from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The cottage is two storeys high and has a broad gable with coped edges and kneelers. To the left of the gable, there is a doorway next to a three-light window with a projecting sill. On the first floor, there are a two-light window and a four-light window. An arched window is positioned at the apex for the attic. A single stack rises from the ridge of the roof.
