Description
The Old Bakery is a cottage located in a row on Church Street in Puncknowle, dating from the early 19th century. It features rubble-stone walls and a slate roof with stone gable copings and level kneelers. There are brick stacks at the left-hand gable, the ridge center, and the right-hand gable. The building is two storeys tall and has three windows, which are sashes with glazing bars and wooden cills. The front door, positioned at the center, has two ribbed bottom panels and four glass panels above, dating from the 19th century. A stone porch with a gabled slate roof and a weather-boarded pediment enhances the entrance. At the rear, there is a former bakery wing with a hipped slate roof, also two storeys high, featuring one window with three-light wooden casements that have glazing bars, and segmental brick arches above.
