Description
Wittonstall End Farmhouse and Wittonstall End Cottage is a house now divided into two occupations. It mostly dates from the early 19th century, although some 17th-century details from an earlier building remain. The structure features hammer-dressed stone on the first cell, with watershot stone on the second and third cells, topped by a stone slate roof. The front has three rooms and is two storeys high. The first cell includes a two-light chamfered window, although the mullion has been removed, and it has a crude hoodmould. The second cell features a large flat-faced mullioned window with four lights, accompanied by a smaller version above it. The third cell has a doorway with monolithic jambs and a double chamfered mullioned window with four lights, above which are three small lights.
