BRIGHOUSE BROOK GREEN Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6

II House now four cottages. Late C17 with early C19 alterations. Rubble brought to course ashlar dressings, stone slate roof. Two storeys: hall and cross-wing plan three room front of three bays. First bay has C19 doorway with monolithic jambs and double chamfered mullioned window of six-lights the sill lowered (three mullions removed) over is five-light flat faced mullioned window. Second bay has large lintel and twelve-light mullioned and transomed window (transoms and most mullions removed), over is five-light flat faced mullioned window. Hoodmoulds over ground floor windows. Right hand bay in gabled cross-wing (rendered) with doorway with monolithic jambs and three-light C19 mullioned window with mid C18 four-light flat faced mullioned window over with square reveals. Attached to left hand and right hand is single cell two storey early C20 extension. Rear of main range has single storey aisle with gabled second storey, late C19, over three stacks.
