Description
West View is a row of three cottages, built in 1771 as evidenced by a date plaque. The cottages are constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof that has been treated with bitumen. They are two storeys high and have a three-bay front. Quoins are present. Each bay originally had a four-light, flat-faced mullioned window above another similar window, although the ground-floor windows of Nos. 1 and 3 have been altered. The left-hand return wall features a coped gable and a single-storey gabled building with quoins and a three-light mullioned window. The rear elevation retains three-light mullioned windows in each bay on both floors. Three stacks are visible on the ridge.
