Description
The Whitehall Hotel is a public house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of thin coursed hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has quoins, coped gables with kneelers, and gable stacks. It has three bays, with the central bay containing a doorway framed by monolithic jambs and a tall stair window above it, which has four sashed panes. On either side of the central bay are flat-faced mullioned windows with overlapping heads and sills, featuring four lights on the ground floor and first floor. The return walls have a two-light window on the third floor. The rear of the building has similar windows with three lights on the ground floor and first floor, along with a tall staircase window that was originally made up of several lights but now has altered modern glazing. The building's angles are marked by quoins.
