SD 92NE ERRINGDEN C.P. KILNSHAW LANE, SD 986260 Hebden Bridge 1/14 Erringden Grange Farmhouse and attached barn -

G.V. II House and attached barn. Early C19. Hammer-dressed stone, ashlar quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 3-bay symmetrical front has doorway with tall monolithic jambs and plain fanlight. Over, and to either side, windows with plain stone surrounds and projecting sills, formerly sashed with modern glazing. Moulded cornice with gutter brackets. Coped gables with moulded kneelers and gable stacks. Rear has tall semi-circular arched stair window with dropped keystone and attached parallel double-pile range one cell of which is house. Quoined gable, which is coped with stack, has 2 bays of 2-light flat faced mullioned windows with plain stone surrounds and projecting sills to each floor. West face of this range has broad semi-circular arched cart entry. To right are 3 doorways with monolithic jambs. Thin arrow slit ventilators and square pitching-hole with projecting sill. The rear of the barn has 3 similar doorways. Over is a 2-light window and square pitching hole. The house and ancillary farm buildings (q.q.v.) form -an interesting group of a model farm.
