TITTESWORTH C.P. THORNCLIFFE Thorncliffe Grange and attached farm buildings

GV II

Farmhouse and attached outbuildings. Late C18 with early C19 alterations and additions. Coursed stone, block dressings; blue machine tile roof. L-shaped plan with domestic accommodation forming a larger part of one limb; stone ridge stack to centre of house and small brick stack against eaves to left end. House: two-storey, 3-window (1:2) front with paired entrances to left in larger bay, C20 glazed doors; 2-3-2-light painted block mullioned casements. Farm Buildings: early C19, connected by two-storey single-bay farm parlour under same ridge; return wing taller, of two storeys and approximately three bays; modillioned eaves; two stables to left, elliptically arched cart entry to right hay loft with three doors over and dove-cote ledges and openings to first floor centre; boarded doors throughout.
