Description

This milepost, located 2 miles from Leek, dates from the late 19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and stands approximately 700 millimeters high. The milepost features a circular shaft and an enlarged head, which displays raised lettering indicating the distances: "LEEK 2 MILES/BUXTON 10 MILES."
