Description

Milepost located on the A53 in Heathylee, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and stands approximately 700 millimeters high. The milepost features a circular shaft and an enlarged head, which has raised lettering indicating the distances: "LEEK 4 MILES/BUXTON 8 MILES".
