Description

Milepost located on the A523, indicating Leek is 4 miles away. It is a late 19th-century structure made of painted cast iron, standing approximately 700mm high. The milepost features a circular shaft with an enlarged head, displaying raised lettering that reads "LEEK 4 MILES/ASHB 11 MILES" on the head and "LONDON 150 MILES" on the shaft.
