Description

Milepost located 20 meters south of Cooks Lane, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and stands approximately 700 millimeters high. The milepost features a circular shaft with an enlarged head, displaying raised lettering. The inscriptions on the shaft read "LEEK 3 MILES/ASHB 12 MILES" and "LONDON 151 MILES."
