Description

This is a milepost dating from around 1834, made of cast iron. It has a cylindrical shape with an enlarged head and features two inscribed panels. The left panel reads "LEEK / 7 / MILES," while the right panel states "ASHB N / 8 / MILES." The shaft of the milepost is inscribed with "...NDON 147 MILES." Please note that the cap of the milepost is missing.
