Description
Marsh Farmhouse and attached outbuildings are a farmhouse and outbuildings that likely date from the early 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid-19th century, specifically dated 1840 for the outbuildings. The structure is built from coursed rubble and features a blue machine tile roof with an end stack on the left. The house and outbuildings form a single range.
The farmhouse is two stories tall and has two windows on the left side, featuring small two-light casement windows set in chamfered reveals, and three-light windows to the left. There is a boarded door positioned at the extreme left, and a staggered butt joint on the right end of the house indicates where the outbuildings begin. A single two-light window is located on the first floor to the left, above a mullioned and transomed four-light window that may have been part of a former doorway. There is a blocked cart entry in the center with a segmental arch, which now has a 20th-century window, and a datestone above it reads "J.M. 1840". To the right end, there is a stable with a small window next to a boarded door. The rear of the building shows more evidence of rebuilding, particularly with raised eaves. Inside, there is a chamfered beam in the house-place.
