Description
Great Jumps is a house dating from the mid-17th century, constructed from large dressed stone with a tiled roof. It features a three-room plan and stands two storeys tall, with a single-storey outshut or aisle at the rear. The south front has a four-light double chamfered mullioned window and a five-light window for the main body of the house, with a four-light chamfered mullioned window above it. There is also a two-light fire-window that lacks a mullion. The end cell has a two-light flat-faced mullioned window with a similar window above. On the right-hand return wall, there is a two-light chamfered mullioned window with the same design above it, both of which lack mullions. The rear features the main doorway located in the outshut. The left-hand return wall has an extruded stack and two double chamfered mullioned windows, each with two lights on either side, both of which also lack mullions. There is another stack on the ridge, and the outshut appears to contain a staircase.
