Description
Perseverance Mill is a mill that has been converted into engineering works, built in 1831. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building stands four storeys tall, with its front facing the road characterized by a pediment end gable that contains a plaque reading "PERSEVERANCE MILL ERECTED 1831." Each floor has sill bands, and the façade is symmetrical with three bays. The central bay projects forward and includes three large taking-in doors, with the lowest door reduced to a window. The outer bays are recessed and have windows with lintels but no jambs. The left-hand return wall, which faces the canal, has ten bays of similar windows with projecting sills on each floor, topped by a moulded cornice.
