Description
This is a cowshed and pigsty built in the early 18th century, located approximately 5 metres east of the laithehouse, to the north of Lower Fold Farmhouse in Oxenhope. The structure is made of dry-walled coursed stone and features a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and consists of one bay, with lean-tos on both the left and right sides, as well as a rear outshut.
The gable front has quoins, and on the left side, there is a doorway with a plain stone surround. In the centre, external steps lead up to a first-floor doorway, which also has a plain stone surround and iron pins in the left jamb. The left lean-to includes a doorway with a plain stone surround and a small square window to its right. The right lean-to features a low doorway and a stone slab pen. At the rear of the building, there are small square vents.
