Description
This barn, located 20 metres south-east of Moor View, is dated 1776 and features the initials "LWE". It is constructed from rubble brought to course with dressed quoins that have a margin. The roof is made of stone slate. The barn has a segmental-arched cart entry with composite jambs and skewbacks, and there is a circular owlhole above it. Inside, there is a square-headed cart entry set within a portal, which includes doorways in the re-entrant angle that have chamfered surrounds; the doorway to the right bears the date. Arched ventilators are located on either side of the entry. There is a mistal doorway at the left-hand end. The gables are coped with kneelers. The rear of the barn has a rendered brick lean-to that is excluded from the listing, which covers a rear square-headed cart entry with a chamfered surround, and there are gable breather holes.
