Description
This barn, located 10 metres north of Street House, is dated and initialled "L H A 1779". It is constructed from rubble brought to course with dressed quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a wide segmental-arched cart entry, with a lintel made of two stones and composite jambs. To the right, there is a mistal doorway at a lower level that has a quoined lintel. The barn also includes three large windows at the first-floor level. The gables are coped and have kneelers. On the left-hand return wall, there is a taking-in door with tie-stone jambs and a date stone set in a recess in the gable. Inside, the barn has a three-bay layout with a king-post roof braced to the ridge. This building is included for its group value.
