Description
This barn, dated and inscribed with "J & MG 1794," is located opposite Lowstreet House. It is constructed from red sandstone coursed rubble and has a sandstone slate roof. The barn is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with a single-storey extension on the right side.
The main façade features a large segmental-headed doorway with a dated keystone, flanked by slit vents on two levels. On the right side, there is a smaller segmental-headed door that has been partly blocked and is now a window, beneath a casement window. External stone steps lead to a loft doorway, all of which have stone surrounds. The extension includes plank doors and casement windows, also set within stone surrounds.
The barn has group value with Lowstreet House.
