Description

This barn, located about 38 metres west of Home Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with stone dressings and quoins, and features a double Roman tiled roof with raised coped verges and kneelers, as well as stepped stonework under the verges.

The east elevation includes a cart entry with a segmental head, impost blocks, and a keystone, along with a 2-light window under the eaves in a wooden frame, which has plank shutters with strap hinges. There are also random small recesses in the wall.

On the north elevation, there is a loading door at an upper level, an owlhole above it, and a blocked ventilation slit below, along with more random small recesses. The south elevation features ventilation slits at both upper and lower levels, an owlhole above, and additional random small recesses.

At the rear, there is a stable door to the right with a timber lintel and a ventilation slit to the left. The interior is not accessible.
