Description
The barn at Home Farm dates from the late 18th century and is constructed from random coursed rubble stone. It features a stone slate roof on the east side and a corrugated iron roof on the west. The east elevation has a large projecting gabled cart entry, which includes a timber lintel and dressed stone quoins. To the left of the entry is a lean-to, and to the right is a small two-light wood mullion window with a timber lintel and wooden shutter. There is a flush opposed entry. The barn has four bays and is supported by collar and tie beam trusses with additional strut supports. There is a blocked pitch hole on the south side and a blocked loft door on the north side, which is obscured by a lower extension to the barn that features double doors on the east and two small windows on the north end.
