Description

Nos. 134 and 135 on West Lane are two adjoining cottages, likely built in the early 18th century. They are constructed from rubble stone, with quoins on No. 135, and feature a stone slate roof topped by a single large stone ridge stack. There is a noticeable break in the stonework between the cottages, with No. 134 slightly projecting forward.

The main front faces east and has two gables, with the larger one belonging to No. 134. The left gable includes a two-light stone mullion window and a similar window below it, along with a single 20th-century light to the left and an entrance in the new extension. The right gable features a two-light wood casement window with a timber lintel, and a longer similar window on the ground floor. There is a door to the left, which has a flat stone hood supported by brackets. Additionally, there is a small stone lean-to on the right-hand return of No. 135.
