Description

Home Farmhouse, now a house, was built in the early 19th century and subsequently altered. It is constructed of coursed freestone and rubble with stone dressings and quoins, and has a double Roman tiled roof with raised coped verges and kneelers. The building is two and a half storeys high and originally had three windows, all two-light casements with segmental heads and eight panes per light. The ground floor has five casements and a 20th-century door with a bolection-moulded architrave, a keystone, and a flat stone hood supported by brackets in the third bay from the left. To the left of the central block is a one-and-a-half-storey section with a six-pane fixed light under the eaves and two three-pane windows under a timber lintel. To the right is a French window and a two-light casement, both under timber lintels, along with a 20th-century casement under the eaves. A single-storey lean-to has been added to the right side. The interior is not accessible. The farmhouse was originally part of the estate of Dodington Park.
