3/76 Walls surrounding former kitchen garden and gates at north end of G.V. Dodington Park

Walls enclosing about 4 acres of former kitchen garden, gates. Early-mid C19. Brick with stone dressings, cast and wrought iron gates. Walls about 4 metres high have brick pilasters at intervals and stone coping; to south and north west, a round-headed archway in stone surround with projecting keystone and voussoirs, similar narrower entrance to east and west, square-headed doorway in stone surround to west, wall partially demolished for new entry to north west on Catchpot Lane; low projecting wall to north of north west entry, with square stone terminal pier with hipped top. North west entry has fine gates, ramped down at centre, knob finials with scroll work, scrolled finials along horizontal struts. Walls in poor condition at time of survey (September, 1984).
