Description
The kitchen garden walls, gate piers, and gardener's cottage at Northwick Park date from before 1843. The walls are long, standing 9 feet high, and enclose an irregularly shaped kitchen garden. They feature a coped top, wall buttresses, and a brick lining, with a ha-ha replacing the wall to the east. In the center of the west wall is an L-plan cottage that is two storeys tall, constructed from coursed and squared rubble with hipped slate roofs. The south front of the cottage has two windows, including tripartite glazing bar sashes on the first floor to the left and an angled bay window on the ground floor to the right, along with a plain doorway. The gate piers at the south corner have slightly pyramidal capping.
