Description
The walls of the western kitchen garden at Tatton Park date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick in an English garden wall bond, topped with stone cappings, and stand between seven and ten feet high, forming a rectangular shape with a rectangular spur that projects northwards at the northeastern corner. At the eastern end of the south wall, there are late 19th century gate piers and gates, featuring stone bases and brickwork arranged in a rusticated pattern, along with iron gates and an overthrow. The center of the south wall includes a semi-circular 20th century garden pavilion, which is not part of the listing. The western wall has a plain doorway with a splayed head.
