Description
The north and east walls of the eastern kitchen garden at Tatton Park are Grade II listed structures dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. These walls are constructed of red English garden wall bond brick with stone dressings and stand approximately 10 to 11 feet high, forming two sides of a roughly rectangular enclosure. The east wall features early 18th century brickwork and connects at its southern end to the west wall of the Tenants Hall, which is not included in this listing. The north wall is made of mid-18th century and 19th century brickwork topped with stone cappings. The eastern half of the wall is contemporary with the stable block to the north, while the western end dates from the mid-19th century and shows evidence of additions and alterations where other buildings have joined on the southern face. The north face of the wall includes three-quarter height buttresses with stone cappings.
