Description
The walls to the service court at Tatton Hall date from the 19th century and are constructed of red English garden wall bond brick with stone capping. The walls run east to west but curve south at both ends in quarter circles. At the west end, there is a splayed head doorway and window opening that serve as an entrance and window to a shop. There is a gateway without piers at the extreme west end, and another gateway located in the middle of the eastern curve, featuring plain piers with slightly domed caps. The wall to the south runs east to west and is approximately 12 feet high, forming an enclosure with stone capping and half-height buttresses that also have stone capping pieces.
